A. Nucleus? or Nucleolus? They are two distinct structures. The outer structure is the nucleus which contains chromatin (DNA) that is used for transcription. The Nucleolus is a smaller structure within the nucleus that is responsible for the production of RNA, more specifically Ribosomal RNA (required for translation).
