A. I really don't trust any politician. GW was very detrimental to the economy, and I can't say for certain what impact Obama's presidency will have. In all actuality though the president only appears to have a vast amount of power. You see the U.S. Government is set up with a system of checks and balances. These keep a single person from having too much power. The checks and balances do very little in order to keep one single entity or way of thinking from gaining too much power though.
